THE EYELIDS
The eyelids are membranous muscular veils located edge-on at the base of the orbit, in front of the eyeball, which, depending on the circumstances, they uncover or cover. They uncover it to allow vision, and cover it to protect it against external agents and against the harmful effects of too bright light.
Among the most important pathologies that we find are the following:
Chalazion
Inflammation of the glands located in the eyelids.
Stye
Inflammatory lesion located superficially on the eyelid.
CHALAZION
It is a non-infectious granulomatous inflammation of the meibomian sebaceous glands (glands located in the eyelids) secondary to an obstruction in the drainage orifices.

It is an inflammatory lesion located superficially on the eyelid, due to involvement of a Zeiss gland or Moll gland at the base of the eyelashes.
